Hair restoration with Re-mane (Hair Regrowth)

Hair loss is a difficult topic to talk about, but it doesn’t have be an impossible one. You’ll be glad to know you have options to reverse that hair loss. At McKenna’s Orthopedics and Biologics, Dr. Wade McKenna offers hair rejuvenation with the highly effective injection-based Remane™ treatment.

What Causes Hair Loss?

Lets look at the three leading causes of hair loss: Genetics, Stress, and Hormones.

Genetics

If other members of your family have struggled with hair loss, too, you can probably thank androgenic alopecia for your thinning hair. This hereditary condition is also called male-pattern or female-pattern baldness, so named because it appears in a predictable way.

In men, androgenic alopecia usually exhibits as baldness at the back of your head and/or a receding hairline. Women are more likely to observe hair loss at the crown of their head.

Stress

Stress takes a toll on your body, and you might see the physical evidence in the form of hair loss.

In fact, there are three different ways stress can contribute to hair loss. If you’re seeing thinning in your hair and you’ve been feeling like you’re under a lot of pressure lately, look for ways to relax. Some breathing exercises or a long, leisurely stroll can actually help you protect your head of hair.

Hormones

Changes in your hormone levels can lead to thinning hair. Women might experience thinning hair after childbirth or during the transition to menopause, for example.

Additionally, hypothyroidism — which causes your thyroid gland to produce too little hormone — can contribute to hair loss.

Usually, these hormonal changes are accompanied by other symptoms. Hypothyroidism usually comes with fatigue, sensitivity to cold, dry skin, and weight gain, for example.

Introducing Remane™ Hair Rejuvenation

Remane™ is designed to address hair loss where it starts: at your hair’s roots. With this injection-based treatment, Dr. McKenna has a way to flood your hair follicles with stem cells. The follicles can then use these stem cells to repair themselves, helping them naturally grow new hair. At the same time, Remane revascularizes your scalp, supporting healthy blood flow to your follicles to protect the hair you do have.

If you’ve heard of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for hair loss, Remane works similarly. Both rely on an influx of growth factors — which are contained in the PRP and in the stem cells in Remane — to tell your hair follicles to grow new hair while supporting their ability to do so. The difference is that Remane contains growth factors in concentrations that are ten times greater than PRP.

What To Expect From the Treatment

Dr. McKenna designed Remane to be a quick, convenient, and effective treatment. The injection of the treatment itself takes just 45 minutes as he distributes the Remane across your scalp. There’s no downtime after your appointment, either.

After treatment, the Remane goes to work on your hair follicles, staying active for up to 20 weeks. Over the weeks that follow your treatment, you should observe more hair growth. Dr. McKenna can repeat Remane treatments as needed to help you reach your hair restoration goals.
